Frank Busing studied psychology at Leiden University. Currently, Frank is working as a researcher at the Psychometrics and Research Methodology Department and as a primary school teacher at the Basisschool Oostelijke Eilanden (BOE) in Amsterdam. His research topics at Leiden University are multilevel analysis (MLA) and mulidimensional scaling: software development for SPSS (PROXSCAL and PREFSCAL) and research on degeneracy in unfolding (PhD thesis).
